Aluminum Wheel Coating

Menu for increasing value added and providing results you can feel
Based on everything we have covered up to this point, we now come to the final step: wheel coating. Because a wide variety of contaminants can adhere to the wheel, you will truly feel the results when you apply a coating to your wheels—even more so than with the body. As we have seen, however, the wheel is a part with very demanding conditions, and so not simply any coating will do. Here are some optimal coatings which meet the requirements of both durability and hardness.

Zen-Xero Vario

Aluminum wheels give a huge impact on the whole appearance of a vehicle, and they are exposed to a harsh environment more than the auto body, for instance, brake dust and greasy dirt can easily get on them. Besides, high temperatures produced by braking makes dirt stick to them even more. Zen-Xero Vario is a glass coating agent for aluminum wheels designed to work under such a harsh environment. It is a hybrid type using polysilazane and provides both thickness of coat and durability which are necessary to protect wheels.

  • Not Applied

Zen-Xero Vario is applied only on half of the weel. When you compare the conditions of both areas after a month without washing, you can notice that the applied area has less dirt.

PRO MAGIC

This glass film-type of coating agent uses alkoxysilane as its main ingredient. It is not simply a repurposed body coating agent, but rather it is specialized for aluminum wheels; it uses a special formulation which can be applied to plating or sputter coating, making it compatible with most aluminum wheels. It is very easy to apply, requiring only a sponge for application and a cloth for wipe off. The characteristicly thick, strong and glossy film created by silane reduces adhesion by iron dust. Normally, curing it at room temperature is sufficiently effective, but baking it on with infrared radiation after application will form a hard film more quickly.

Aluminum Wheel & Molding Coating Agents

This product not only forms a hard glass film of silane on wheels, but it can also be used to restore lustrous blacks on unpainted molding parts. Although it is volatile and has excellent hardness and durability, it reacts strongly with moisture while curing, which can result in cloudiness. Please be careful of your work conditions.

Black Shield

Forms a thick, inorganic glass film which reduces adhesion of brake dust, iron powder, pitch, and tar to wheels, making maintenance easy. The film is highly heat resistant, making it very effective as a protective coating even under the high temperature conditions to which wheels are exposed.
