This American-made polisher is a longtime bestseller. While it takes some skill to use because you need to apply pressure with the weight of the machine as you polish, once you are accustomed to it, it will become an essential part of your toolset. Three types are available: the fixed speed 5455, the continuously variable speed 5460-6, and the 5540, which has an even wider speed range. As sold by the manufacturer, the gears in the head of the polisher tend to wear out quickly. For this reason, we grease these polishers with our own special grease, reducing the friction coefficient for greatly improved durability.
