Brush material
Nylon (synthetic fibers)
Nylon has excellent wear resistance, elasticity, and flexibility, and can withstand long term use without corrosion. As a result, it is the most commonly used type of brush bristle material for washing and transportation. Although it has weak resistance to acid, it is almost entirely unaffected by alkaline solutions. Furthermore, because it is not soluble in general solvents (alcohol, gasoline, benzene, etc.), it is compatible with many chemicals used in cleaning.
Nylon materials can be further subcategorized based on differences in water absorbency.
●6 Nylon: Excellent strength and wear resistance.
●66 Nylon: Excellent heat resistance; most commonly used.
●6-10 Nylon: Excellent water resistance.
●6-12 Nylon: Excellent water resistance.
