Even for a gear-driven action polisher, the FLEX XC 3401 VRG's torque is particularly impressive. It is suitable not only for finishing, but also polishing that would normally be performed with a conventional rotary polisher. The ergonomic grip on the tip of the head enables balanced polishing. Of course, a normal side grip can also be attached. In contrast to the large orbit diameter and high level of power, the gears in the head tend to wear out quickly, necessitating maintenance.
The speed control dial offers superb ease of use.
The unique shape makes it easy to hold and apply force uniformly.
Like other FLEX polishers, this tool has a gear cut directly into the pad and a gear cut into the outer circumference of the inside of the head, creating high torque and polishing power.
Because the FLEX XC 3401 VRG is made outside of Japan, the shape of the backing pad Velcro is different, causing slightly weaker adhesion to the pad. By separately purchasing and applying a backing pad sheet, you can greatly increase adhesion.
